Description
Four complex community paediatric patients who were frequent flyers to Riverbank, were picked to trial a preventative community respiratory physiotherapy intervention.
The intervention included a full respiratory physiotherapy assessment. From this a Respiratory Physiotherapy Care Plan was set up which included
daily preventative respiratory physiotherapy – performed by the parents
an intensified respiratory physiotherapy care plan for when the patient first starts to become unwell from a respiratory point of view
a plan for if the patient continues to deteriorate
